I was recommended for this short film by my makeup design professor, Anna Fugate-Downs. I was given research from the director, and based on her images and my breakdown of the script, I created two unique but related looks for each character. Muffy is an intense girl who seems fearless, but is actually holding herself back from entering the spaces that challenge her. I gave her a playful half-bun and false nose ring to make her feel edgy, but still sweet. Bette is the more responsible, grounding character, and eventually helps Muffy overcome her fears. I kept her look fresh and simple in a no-makeup style look and straight hair tucked out of her face with a backwards cap.
